Kooi Group, the European market leader in temporary camera surveillance and security solutions, has appointed Dries van Dongen as its new Chief Executive Officer. Van Dongen (47) will assume the role from September 7, 2026, and will lead the company through its next phase of international expansion. The appointment follows a succession plan agreed in 2023 between the current CEO, Peter Schollmann, and majority shareholder IK Partners. After successfully leading Kooi Group for five years and overseeing significant international growth, Schollmann will hand over leadership to Van Dongen.  

Van Dongen brings extensive leadership experience across the logistics and security sectors. Most recently, he served as CEO of Falck Fire Services, a leading provider of industrial fire and emergency response services for high-risk industries and part of the Danish Falck Group. Prior to that, he was CEO of APM Terminals Inland Services, a division of Maersk.

Investing in people, organization and innovation

Van Dongen succeeds Peter Schollmann, who became CEO in 2021 when he took over from company founder Pieter Kooi. Under his leadership, the organization underwent further professionalization and grew internationally, expanding from approximately 80 employees in 2021 to more than 450 today. He also led the entry of a new majority shareholder and the acquisition of Video Guard, creating a strong platform for Kooi Group's continued growth and further development.
