KABI Entreprise secures construction sites with Kooi’s camera surveillance

Introduction

When KABI Entreprise began building new educational facilities at Campus Odsherred, it quickly became clear that safety on the construction site had to be prioritized. Based on previous experiences with theft, the contractor decided to implement Kooi’s mobile surveillance solution – and it has proven to be both a reassuring and effective investment.

An ambitious school construction project combining practical and theoretical education

Campus Odsherred is a modern school project where facilities for carpentry, chef, and waiter training are being built in close connection to Odsherred Gymnasium. KABI Entreprise is the main contractor on the project, and project manager Mathias has been leading the construction process:

“We’re building a campus where practical and academic education are brought together. It’s an important project, and that’s why it’s crucial that the construction site runs without disturbances – especially when it comes to safety.”

Effective coverage and fast response

Kooi’s solution was chosen because the company could respond quickly and install the cameras without delay. The fast setup turned out to be crucial:

“We couldn’t wait weeks for a solution – we needed action immediately. The cameras were installed quickly, and it has made a real difference. We’ve had several attempted break-ins, where people were addressed by the system and then disappeared. It works preventively and effectively,” says Mathias.

User-friendly app and everyday flexibility

One of the features the project manager especially highlights is the user-friendliness of Kooi’s app:

“It’s quick and easy to change the monitoring hours if someone is working late or during the weekend. I can adjust the alarms in under a minute, which helps us avoid false alarms. It really makes daily operations easier.”

Transparency and reassurance in the collaboration

Besides the technology itself, the collaboration with Kooi has also been a positive experience. According to Mathias, it is especially the good communication and predictable pricing that make the solution attractive:

“You know what it costs – no matter how many times a guard is dispatched. That gives peace of mind and makes planning and budgeting easier. We’ve received quick help whenever we needed it – for example, when relocating cameras to better positions.”

Surveillance will be part of future projects

Even though Mathias cannot say for sure whether Kooi will be the choice next time, one thing is certain: camera surveillance will be considered much earlier in the process going forward.

“Previously, we’ve typically only installed cameras toward the end of the construction phase, but in the future, I want it earlier – it definitely has a preventive effect. Whether we go with Kooi again depends on the location and project, but surveillance will be a permanent part moving forward.”
